    Default Gearknob's

How easy is it to change a Gearknob on the Vectra??

Are they just twist off, or are they held on by a grub screw?

    Any help really appreciated.

Get your 5 year old niece to sit in the car for 5 minutes. Comes off in their hands.

Worked a treat in my old Mondeo...

Correction, it wasn't the Mondeo, it was a Pug 306 I had for a few weeks.

Andyvec got mine off in seconds - facelift (not sure if it is different).

He wrapped a cloth around the gear knob, applied even pressure with a good set of grips and then hit the grips with a hammer from below - worked a treat.

Other will tell you that the only way is to cut it off with a hacksaw - Andy proved different!!

Yep, no need to hack the knob to pieces, just whack it from underneath.
