Radio fuse blown?

My radio CDR 2005 seems to have given up the ghost. I suspect the fuse in the radio itself has gone. As the display shows SaFE but I can not switch on or off the radio to put the code number in as the manual explains to me. I have changed the main fuse 20A in the cars main fuses but SAFE still appears and radio still fails to switch on/off so I can input the code.

The radio cannot be taken out by me as it looks like a special tool is required to get the radio out. Is it possible for me to get the radio out of the fascia easily as replacing a fuse should not ne difficult or is it a dealer job as the owners manual implies.

Just buy a pair of double din removal from halfords,these will allow you to remove the head unit after you've taken the grub screws out of the holes.

Many thanks for your reply. Popped into Halfords of course the dd removal tool for vauxhall only one sold out! Did a trawl of motorist discount shops and found the tool. Changed the fuse and radio comes back to life. Many thanks for your help and advice.
