    Default Overnight stay suggestions

    Hi guys,
It's almost that time of year again, time for the annual fornight lying by the pool with no phone.

We (the royal we) have decided to go to wales (Tenby) this year because of the baby, so long drive from ayr planned.

The present Mrs stusdc has decided we should stop overnight about halfway because the baby doesn't like long journeys (not quite sure how she figured this one out, cos the furthest the little shet has been is morrisons) however i have succumbed to her wisdom.

What i'm looking for is suggestions as to where to stay, I think Blackpool is roughly halfwayish, but not sure, i know someone will know for definite.

Somewhere decent, travel lodgey inny thingy will do for me, but i'd like to not have to empty the roof box / garden shed that'll be strapped to the roof at night, or have to stand guard over the car all night.

All your suggestions will be gratefully recieved, (alternativley, if someone would like to volunteer to take my wife and two rug rats for two weeks so i can stay at home wiv the dug and my playstation).

yeah i'd do that as well. Kendal is about the same distance off the M6 as Blackpool is and trust me is much nicer. If you want to stop around the Blackpool area, where the M6 is joined by the M55 theres two options, theres a Travel Inn and a much nicer Marriot. depends if you are just using it as a bed for the night or actually want to have a look at Blackpool - which I wouldnt recommend!
Same situation for us this year, new little baby going to mean loading the car up and heading for Wales or Ireland

I'd go with AJA but I'd say Windermere. Quieter than Kendell and nicer IMO.

Nothing to see in Lancaster or Morecombe

I've Heard Ian-Cs gaff is nice or Andy Vecs workshop :lol :

Travel Inn and park underneath one of the CCTV cameras - in fact do that wherever you stay, if you can!
