    Default -45mm pi springs

just a quick question...just about to order some pi springs(-45mm pn 60-274) but a few sites say the should be fitted with shortened shocks...anyone had any experience with these..can i get away with the std dampers?

I am sure Mark (GSI3.2) will be along soon, but am pretty sure the answer is no.

Even on the SRi which is already lower than the rest of the range you still need to change them for -45mm springs.

If you change the springs in my opinion you should change the shocks also. I changed my springs and a few months later one of my rear shocks blew. It might be coincidence or it was it's time due to my high mileage but I changed all 4 shocks to Eibach ones to match my 30mm Eibach springs.

    Cheers

think that you can use standard shocks up to 40mm lower, and any thing more than this then the shocks need changing

    from pI web site

    PI Spring Features

Springs which are matched to your car
    Bright red springs
    Retains good ride quality
Sports look transforms the appearance of any car

    Note:

    In Stock
It is recommended that shortened shock absorbers are used with these kits.

    Disagree with the above.

They ADVISE to go for shorten shock's but it's not a problem if you don't.
I have had 45mm pi spring's fitted and so has Payne and KevA and we have the original shock's on and have no problems at all.

You go for it, you will love it......
