Windscreen Advice

Ok over the weekend I seem to have developed a ver nice 7 inch crack in the windscreen. Not to much of a problem as I have windscreen cover so not going to cost me much but question is because I have Rain Sensitive Wipers is this built into the windscreen or a sensor that sticks on the screen??

Should I mention this to the windscreen people??

yep, deffo mention it, and ask that they fit a NEW sensor as this was the start of my problems when RAC windscreens butchered mine trying to reuse it and save money....the sensor and it's gelpacks clip into a plastic holder on the back of the screen which won't be there if they don't know to bring the correct screen..

yes let them know and they should get the correct screen

yes as far as i know u need to let the windscreen people know. I had to when my old pug 307 had it changed.

the windscreen firm should change it for a new one, so ask them to bring it with them....they don't like being reused in my experience

Tell them you want the tinted top and they will fit that type too. I was asked which type i wanted. Told them it had a rain sensor and the very nice lady said "yes but do you want the tinted top as well?" Of course i said yes and that's what they fitted

auto windscreens have these type of screens in stock .......i had one fitted last week............ and me wipers and head lamps work fine still lol

lucky, lucky boy..... RAC put me through 6 weeks of hell.. not only did he butcher the sensor, he also tore the ribbon....but thats the good and the bad out there..
