Default not sure if my new tyres are.......

    the best for my car.......

I was travelling down the a14 and yes its rutted but i thought the rear axle was about to overtake the front.

the old tyres were michelin pilot primacy with 1.6mm of tread on them

the new tyres are toyo proxes t1-r's with about 7mm.

both have the same spec - 215/55 16zr 93w, but the new ones make the car feel like its got a weave on......

is it because they are new or is it something else.

    thanks if you can help.

Do you have all four tyres the same or are you progressively replacing (ie different brand front/rear)?
Have you re-checked tyre pressures cold?

the front two are kuhmo - same size - same weight, everything.

always check the pressures cold and with a digi temp gauge

it could be the blocks are squdeging due to their height.

Although the front two are the same size and ratios, how do they compare front/rear on :
    treadwear / traction / temperature

It could be the fronts are warm, but the rears are still cold, which could cause oversteer on severe corners
    Very unlikely, but is possible

It looks like this could be from having hard compound tyres on the front and hard compound tyres on the rear, giving the treadwear ratios
Really, they should be within 40 units of each other

how about trying the toyo's on the front and the khumo's on the back. Dont know if it would help but its worth a try.

Could also be the new tyres aren't scrubbed in,they need up to 200 miles to do this.
