Car cuts out and engine managment light is on

hi all im new here please bear with me its quite long winded.

my problem started about 2 months ago going along fine then all of a sudden my car switches itself off no power at all.I steered over to the kerb and turned the key,nothing not even the starter motor.got out locked the car unlocked it and it fired up but left the engine managment light on.It was raining at the time and thought it might be down to this called and electrition out and he said theres a fualt code on the ecu.he cleared it but it keeps switching off in the dry or wet. engine managment light comes on and off when it wants.vauxhall want £70 per hour to check it and told me theve had a vectra for 23 hours and still dont know whats wrong with it. Any ideas would be helpful

had the car on tech 2 today and found this lot in the first hour
A Carried out tech 2 tests
numerous fault codes stored
bo550 milage circuit range/performance
p0500 vehicle speed signal range
u2130 airbag invalid data
H carry out fre vehicle health
report as attached schdule
present
T u2139 invalid data from cim engine p0601 - ecu
u02105 - canbus ecm
wrote word for word as report shows i was tol of major system faliures throughout car and they need it for longer to run more tests
is there light at the end of the tunnel as i love my sri and would be gutted if its too much to repair

Sounds like the EMS might be at fault and have to replaced
Not much change out of £1000

Have you made any engine or electrical modifications?

no mods as its still on finance from vauxhall got it back just now, when i get paid i'll book it in for more testing
