Default What Sat Nav do you recommend?

My NCDC2013 just packed in today, the radio/multi CD works fine, but the slot in CD where the NAV disc goes, seems to have a ******ed laser or something because it won't read anything I put in, tryed CD lense cleaner, even took the stereo out, and pulled to bits and physically cleaned the lense. I think it may have jammed.

(anyone know how to sort this? will save me buying a new one...)

    Anyway...

I'm looking for a new stereo system.

It must be a double sized stereo to fill the full gap, and it must have DVD player and SAT NAV.

I've seen a couple by Pioneer and Alpine, but they are £800-£1500...
I don't want to spend that much.

Anyone know of something that matches my needs for a cheap as possible? I'm not bothered about famous makes either, as long as it works.

Or if anyone can direct how to sort a jammed laser that'll do too

    Thanks
    Dan

    Default

I'll be interested to see the results of this one, been after one myself for a while, but they all seem to do some things but not all, the one i really want will do speed camera's without having to pay every mth for updates, and update position before you miss the turning.

Saw an Evesham one in Staples yesterday for £50, customer return, held off and read the reviews, 1 positive and many unhappy ppl, guess I know why the customer returned it now don't I, slow to update and area ID only, looked a nice bit of kit as well, £289 when it was current, 7000 model, had a Sony one for £70 as well, but no camera's on it.
