Default Bluetooth Unit - what to buy, where to get fitted etc.

    Hi,

I am looking for a bluetooth unit for my Vectra - CD70 Sat Nav.

I would need to get it fitted, as I wouldn't have a clue LOL

So a) could do with a recomendation b) suggestion on where to get it fitted (I am in Essex, but travel widely throughout the UK)

And also whereabout is it fitted in the car - does anyone have any photos?

    many thanks.

    parrot kits are good.

As for fitting there is a pre-wired cable behind the glove box, just plugs straight in!

the parrots wont plug straight in to the factory loom, the parrots come with ISO plugs, if you want to plug it in to the cd70 you need remove the mute box part of the loom and leave just the blue (mute) and line out Brown/Green +/-coming out from the block from the blue box.

Insert the blue lead into the spare slot in the Quadlock next to the thick red power cable and use the diagram on top of the CD70 to locate the line in on the HU.

P.S doing it this way saves loads of room behind (there is very little)
also you will need to pick up the ignitiion switched supply from the fag socket.

Wiring it in to the HU this way mutes the stereo and will puase the CD/MP3 when you get a call and you also can control the volume from the steering wheel to

PM if you need anymore help

no your right you need to get a saab vda-parrot adaptor lead from sio-communications then it plugs straight in no need to even take the radio out.
You can then discard the mute box and don't need to modify anything.

    Thats how i did mine.

Not all of them have the VDA socket and fme lead behind the glovebox, infact on the facelift its onlt there if you ask for it as an option
ive got cd40 opera in my car and no VDA plug another engineer has a pre facelift with the opera unit and has the input .

    Thanks.

Does it clip on to the vents or is it mounted elsewhere?
