    Default And Again.

Not content with smashing my window last week, i discovered this mornng that the local scumbags have nicked my alloy ariel I had on the car for a good 2 years now.

Its only £10 value but its the thought that someone obviously is taking a liking to hand picking bits off my car.

Anything i can do about it?

Its only a £7.50 alloy thing from ebay, and along similar lines to valve caps getting nicked, but it makes you question whether you should bother modding your car for fears of someone either keying it through jealousy or taking bits off themsleves. The sooner we move and get a garage the better :-s

    Hi Andy,

I used to have the same sort of problems i.e. valve caps gettin' nicked wing mirroe broken etc..
I now rent a small lock-up from my local council --- best thing i've ever spent £6 a week on, have you tried looking for a lock up, or garage space you could rent off a neighbour. At least now I can get a decent nights sleep without being at the window with every noise I hear..

And you'll save on your insurance..

I had similar problems where I used to live. I got lucky and caught one of them sitting on my bonnet. He was asked only once to move, then I bounced him. I then got very paranoid and fitted a wireless CCTV system (from eBay) which seemed to do the trick.

It was one of the reasons why we moved house. I've now a driveway, but I'm still putting the CCTV cameras up just incase.
