    Default Urgent Help

Just reference my previous post today was the day I buy my Gsi but problems have arisen.

The cars indicators do not flash it has no hazard lights the central locking has stopped working and the lights are on all the time even when switched off anyone got any ideas.

Dont want to sign for it until I 100% sure what it is.

Definitely get that lot sorted before you sign for it m8.
The only one I’ve really heard of before is the lights on all the time, this can be because the light switch is not plugged in properly (or has a poor connection) so they come on anyway for safety.
But, putting all those together, certainly sounds like it could have a module down, if it isn't fixed, walk away from it m8, could get very expensive.

Check the fuses out, it might just be one of them.

It could be a wiring loom issue, Maybe the loom has melted..
If it's not sorted by a pro i'd walk away. Plenty of motor's out there mate.
Is the car being sold private or trade?

    I hope not.

It is not a Vauxhall dealership he is a Lexus Merc dealer. He is not a back street garage and is regarded as quality place to buy a car(If you have Merc money).
All he has asked is for a deposit and to be truthful he has other interested parties but has given me time to say no. Once I say yes the car will be sorted mot,d taxed etc cam belt replaced before a get it.

So would you say this is a safe bet ? If it cant be repaired the car cant be sold so in theory I lose nothing.

TBH I think i'd walk away and find another. There are plenty about if you want one. I think it would always be in my mind that something was really wrong. But in saying that I think I would ask what they find wrong with it as they will need to fix it to shift it. Get them to repair it and have a think. HTH!
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

What Martin said about the light switch is the most likely cause. If you pull the plug off the back of the switch the lights will come on, so it is most likely not on properly or at all.

    Ok quick update
It is going to Vauxhall on monday to get the cambelt done and a tech2 check.Vauxhall think it may have blew a module due to jump lead starting the vehicle .They say its a very common problem they have found on the C.
What I have agreed is Cambelt and tensioners to be changed and the electrical fault resolving otherwise I get a refund of my deposit. Also should I change the water pump?
The Vaux Tech who came out today said it should be an easy fix as he thinks its a CIM Module failure what ever that is.
So fingers crossed all will be resolved
