Default Scissor Jacks vs Bottle Jacks

A little bit un Vectra related, please delete if needed!

Wife still has a Skoda Fabia (we were looking at Vectra Elites), and the car jack is absolute rubbish - its the half scissor type. Its nothing like the ones with the Vectra.

Question is.... if I buy her a better jack, then what would people says better?

Bottle jack or full scissor jack???

    Many thanks

    Richard

I always prefer a sturdy bottle jack. You can't beat hydraulic pressure.

I've had a few scissor jacks twist & collapse but never had any problems with bottle jacks - so it's bottle jack for me

What about one of those blow up jobs that work via the exhaust pipe – certainly wouldn’t fall off it

oohh.. i hate those inflateable one's.. soooo dangerous..okay for what they where originally designed for ( raising vehicles that had bellied out) but too dangerous and unstable for use by the untrained as a wheel change jack..
