    Default Severe discomfort when driving

I have had my 2004 Vectra Elegance for 6 months now and can safely say that it's the most umcomfortable car to drive that I've ever been in.

I'm 5'11" and have tried every seat adjustment there and simply cannot get myself comfortable. I find that I'm ok if I pick myself up and plonk myself down with my back firmly against the back of the seat, but I'm constantly slipping forward while driving, especially when using the clutch. The lumbar support is just generally **** and seems to do nothing except push the whole of my body forward, instead of just supporting my back. No mater how I set the thing up I end up with pain somewhere in my back.

Anyone got any ideas for me or have the same problem? This is just driving me insane and I'm going to be getting rid of the car if I can't get it fixed. I'm considering SRi seats which I've heard are better, but I've no idea where to get them from (nothing on eBay for the Vectra C). Please could someone post a photo of their SRi seats so I can get a general idea of how they differ from mine.

Any help would be very much appreciated. This is the first newish car I've ever had and was really excited about getting it but now I'm just gutted.

If your slipping forward when putting the clutch down it sounds as your seat is too far back. I too found my seat a bit uncomfortable but since I have tilted it - the whole seat - back I have found it much better.

Also I'm 6'5 and have no problem with the mirrors position.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I'm 6' with a GSI with split leather and it is one of the most comfortable car's I've owned (apart from the Omega which was like sitting in 1st Class on a plane!)... Can't imagine why anyone my hight would find it uncomfortable.

What are the GSi seats like? I assume they're different to those in my Elegance.
