    Default 235 45 17 OR 215 50 17 Firestones?

    Hi,
Me Again, thanks for the advice on the 235 45 17", still considering this size, But I have been offered some Firestone TZ200's
    They are 215 50 17" @ £200 delivered for a Full set (Brand New!!)
As I use the car for comuting, I think these will suit me fine.
    Any one got them Fitted?
    Probably not a patch on F1's, but I do 30,000 a Year!!

Thanks for all the Welcome messages
    Cheers
    Adam

Why on earth would you want to fit 235/50-17's anyway?

    Sorry should have been 235 45 17 NOT 235 50 17!!
I was considering 235 45 17", as these have a closed Rolling Rad to
    215 50 17" (My Standard size) than 225 45 17"
    Cheers

    Default

    I do 40K miles a year
I compared the wear on the first set of Good Year NCT5 215/50R17 and have changed to the Good Year F1 GSD3 225/45R17
Ironically, the wear is slightly less, but the cost per mile is almost half!

    Default

IMO 235/45/17 are far too wide and wouldn't look right on the standard rim. Thats why VX say 215/50/17 or 225/45/17. Its because of the Rim width not the rolling radius.

But £200 for 4 sounds good to me
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
