Well here are a few of the 300 or so photos I took in the Ukraine.
The people I met were so friendly, I had a very good time there, we think our roads are bad but you want to see theirs, the country lanes as we would call them are no more than a dirt track. They seem to like Lada,s a lot and I can see why, they are built like tanks I went in several of them non of them younger than 30 years old but still running ok.
Here are some of the pictures. I could go on for ages about the place but we don,t have all day, Larisa feels much better now she has seen her relitives again......
This is the River in Svitlovodsk, it is so hugh it looks more like the sea.

These children did actually drive off sitting on the roof, in the country you seem to get away with most things, they had the time of their lives sitting up there.

The Lada here is in the middle of now where there were five of us in it, we had driven up the ravine to the trees, these humble cars will go any where.

Hope you enjoyed some of the photos. I hope to go back to this land in the future, if only to be with these very friendly people.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Amazing how liberal other lands can be when it comes to things like road safety. Even in developed places like Singapore you can throw as many people in a car as it can handle, nuts.

When we lived in Russia - we used to use fully kitted Toyota Landcruisers (winches, snorkels etc) and used to have to struggle through deep rivers and rough terain to visit some sites and when you finally made it there would always be a Lada parked up with a load of Russians having a picnic.
