Atn Bikers: Mich Pilot Power+2CT world recall: Important!!!

Just read this over on the AF1 forums. And its Pilot Powers as well as 2CT's. posting this as a "heads up" to all riders here. If you have Pilot powers fitted or 2CT's, check your numbers.

PARIS, June 15 (Reuters) - French tyre group Michelin (MICP.PA: Quote, Profile , Research) said on Friday it was recalling some 68,000 motorbike tyres after finding a possible defect in their tread due to a manufacturing fault.
The company said it would recall the Pilot Power 2CT and Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17 front motorcycle tyres. A Michelin spokeswoman said the recall would affect tyres sold in 40 countries in north America and Europe.
Michelin added no accidents had occured as a result of the fault.

The tires can be identified by the following numbers: DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T.

Michelin has set up the following phone number to handle inquiries: 0800 454774 for the UK.

"The company will be replacing all potentially affected tires in a comprehensive commitment to retrieve from the market any tire that does not meet Michelin quality standards.
"Replacement tires are available at no cost (including mounting and balancing) to consumers through participating Michelin motorcycle tire servicing retailers."

Just checked mine, but the numbers are ok, damn!!!. Could have done with a new front tyre as well!!!.

glad ive gone for dunlops on my zzr 6 then. but they were put on only 4 weeks ago and ive now got a flat on the rear...
