Default Roof Bars - 02> Estate

Genuine Vauxhall aero roof bars for Vectra estate without roof rails and with the lift up flaps. Mistakenly bought on EBay for a hatchback but rear bar too short. Good clean condition, complete with locks and keys.

£35 is what I paid on Ebay and would be happy to sell them for that, especially if they could be collected from Eastbourne, or else I could deliver to Dartford, SE London and any bits of Kent inbetween for petrol money and a cup of tea.

Let's me make this absolutely clear...

If you own a Vectra estate, 02 onwards...
If you don't have roof rails...
If you want a set of roof bars that fit into the fixing points beneath the lift up flaps...
If you want a genuine Vauxhall product but don't want to pay for a new set...

...then these are exactly what you need!

    Default Roof Bars - Estate

I won these on ebay, but didn't think to ask whether they would fit a hatchbach. They don't, they are for an estate.

Would anyone like to take them off my hands for my winning £35?

how do you know if they are only for an estate, did you email the guy
and asked or did you just bid and won them ???????

why don`t you tell the seller that they are not suitable for the hatch as
with them being for an estate and also he is at fault ad he shud of listed
them as to wot they are only suitable for the estate and not the hatch but
it doesnt say in his listing exactly wot they only fit so you shudn`t be
expected to buy them as he aint made the listing clear enuf.

if you already got them then i`m sure you will sell them on the site
    easily enough.

Yeah, what he just said ^^^, and if they are estate ones, they should come with a fitting tool. (allen key type thing)

It took about 2 weeks and involved my brother in law and father in law collecting them and bringing them 200 miles to me. The front one fits fine, the rear one is about 20mm too narrow. When I mentioned this on this excellent forum, all the advice I got back pointed to them being the same measurements as the bars for the estate.

I just never thought that they would make roof bars for the estate, therefore I didn't think to ask.

Stick them back on ebay - they will sell - no problem!
(you don't need an allen key to fit them - they lock into place and then you lock the cover over them,,,)

Just realised, there will be two types of bars for the estate.
If, like mine, it has roof rails, then you do NEED a Allen key to fit them (the proper tool torques them correctly as well).
But, if it has no rails, then they most likely (I guess, I haven't seen a set) lock into place like the hatch bars do.

And from what I can see in that eBay pic, those bars are very different to mine, so I don’t think these are gona fit an estate with roof rails.
I guess these must be for the railess estate then ?
Have you got the part numbers on them, may be someone will be able to confirm one way or the other.

I can confirm that they are for the Estate with no roof rails - I have a set of them - they are very good!
