electric window probs

ok folks hers my prob, passengers side window on my 02 1.8ls vectra
sometimes dosnt want to close , i have read many answers on this topic on this and other forums
heres the run down

passenger side window will go down ok but will some time not got up,
we have tried the passenger/drivers switch but to no avail we he to wait
10 mins for it to resset then all is ok (as said in the manual )

my question is

nothing is moved during the resett so is this still a switch problem
because before the resett you can hammer eather switch and it aint moving

hope any peeps can help before i remove the switch with a hammer lol

does it go down smoothly? I'm thinking possibly its jamming on the way back up and the overloading is tripping the motor out? As you say you've tried both switches yes?,

yes m8 it goes down smoothly
but wont return useing either switch


just wont return dosent do it all the time

but its a pain when youve got to wait 10 mins before you can leave the car

Try silicon spray in the channels - I had something similar on a Puma - went down very easily but even with the engine running really laboured going up. The silicon really helped & it'll ease the load on the motor & hopefully keep it cooler
