Default Tracking - steering wheel slightly out

Have noticed over the past few days a real oddity.

Can be driving along the road, and with the steering wheel straight, the car will start to drift to the left

Then further down the same stretch of road, it will be dead ahead with the wheel still straight.

Are there any special requirements for setting the tracking on the Vec C, due to the electro hydraulic rack?

And does anybody here know the settings for a 1.8 SXi 2005 on 16's?

i doubt it's the tracking steve, sounds more like the effects of road camber to me..there are no special tracking requirements BTW....

I thought it could be camber but its so odd, same stretch of road!

Do you know the settings so i can have them to reference against, no harm in checking, its all free of charge.

Has anyone got any answers to this problem? I have now had my 02 Vectra tracked 6 times in 2 months, still have the problem of pulling to the left. All the pressures are fine, all the tires were put on together at the same time, it just makes the car a pain to drive. I live in Norwich anyone know of a fix?
    Cheers

Before I had the new tyres fitted, it was straight as an arrow.

most of the time its about -1 to 0~ degrease however it can be slightly out even if u run over a fly they are very tempermentle mine does it but the warst that happens is a worn bush and tyres any steering rack lasting more than 18months is a good 1 as most warranty work on vectras is a new seering rack even after 12-14 months. hope this is helpfull

Had all the front end and back looked at last time it was on the ramp they said it was all OK and there is no play in the rack, car has only done 22000 miles. I will not take it to the main dealer here in Norwich, last time I did they tried to give me a bill for £1599 to check out the ECU, got it done in Essex for under a £100.

I believe the tracking problem started at the main dealer after the ECU was checked, car started not to read my key and would not start now and then, so took it in to be checked, that was what the bill was for. They wanted to replace ECU and all the SIM boxes, when I got it back the alloys were scuffed and the tracking out, I complained and they said it was like that when it came in, I said it was not, they said prove it!
    Main Dealers suck!!!
