    Default me car`s flooded arrrrrrrrr

just been in me boot to get first aid kit and wot do i find it in a
big pool of water and looks like i have a megga water leak, and after further
inspection i lifted the spare wheel cover up and the spacesaver wheel is
basically floating, think theres more water in me boot than there is in the
river mersey, very very annoyed so now think rust will be settling in,i hate
having a car then finding water leak and really puts me off so has anyone
    experienced this.

just been outside and took the trims from the back of the rear lampsand there`s
water dripping in,i then checked the rubber aperture seal and hooray i found that
at the top were it bends round it had a gap between the seal and the
metalwork then again near the bottom were the rear lamp is so i ave pulled
it off then re fitted the seal and its sitting right against the metalwork and i
checked the otherside and it was the same near the lamp so now i ave wiped
that area clean and i`ll have to see in the morning if its leaked again,i`ll get
a new aperture seal on warranty to be sure, think the heavy rain we had
yesterday and overnight didnt help but i`m glad i ave found in were the leak
    is.

the boot area is soaking wet and spare wheel is floating but cant to
    anything till morning.

Yep, had the same on mine Andy. After the rear end smack they didn't replace the seal properly and I ended up with the same as you, a soggy carpet and a wheel well of water!

Don't worry, as long as you take it all out and dry the carpet etc. you won't have any rust or mould problems - just dry out all the well and leave the tailgate open for a bit if it's a warm day. If the boot floor carpet is damp, just unclip it and leave that somewhere to dry out - not in the direct sun though as it may warp if it isn't kept flat.

cheers ppl for ya kind advice

got up this morning and stripped the boot out and got a jug and bailed
the water out of the wheel well and wiped it all down thoroughly then went
to the dealer and me m8 got authorisation and case number to replace
the aperture seal and also the boot carpets so they will be in tomoz so all
going well at the moment and will be all back together in a few days time.

i`m glad i spotted it straight away as i dont barely go in the wheel well and
i just dont know why the reason why i wnt into the wheel well so very lucky
