Default V6 CDTi faulty engine problem update

Well they finished the car and returned it to me on the Wednesday & I went back on the Friday because it whistled when you accelerated(2 weeks ago). I took it back last week & they had it on Thursday & Friday to find this whistle in the induction system. They called me Friday afternoon your cars ready, we fitted a new turbo as yours was failing.

I drove to Liverpool & back on Tuesday, car running sweet as a nut. This morning left home and got as far as Scotch Corner(63 miles) and the spanner light comes on. Stop restart, no different and sounding rough. Then the spanner goes off and the emmision light comes on. So off I go to Boston with the light on, 120 miles later I stop at the services for 10minutes get back in, light gone and running sweet again. Coming off the A1 onto the M62 and the spanner comes back on. Carry on driving into Leeds and stop at the lights so I switch off for 45 second and restart, light has gone and running sweet. So I'm now in a hotel at Leeds/Bradford wondering if it'll get me home tomorrow. So back to the dealers tomorrow.

Any ideas anyone, beginning to think I've got a dog of a car. Can I send it back?

    Have you made any modifications?
If so, it might be worth removing them and comparing

Didn't you have a box on yours for a while? I doubt they will accept it back as you hve had it a while. Just keep pestering the dealers, get a decent CCar and keep it until YOU have road tested your own car and are happy. Call VX CCare if your not happy with the service of the dealer.
    Good luck mate

I had a problem with my V6 CDTi as well but not under the same circumstances. I hadn't had any problems with car up to that point. Tech 2 test carried out and I needed to get an new ECU and something about a new ABS strap being fitted. The car was only 1 month over the 3 year warranty. Contacted VX customer services and got a reference number for my case. The result was VX paid 80% towards the ECU and 100% towards the other. Is the car still under warranty?? Contact VX customer services and then get it back in for a Tech 2 to see what fault codes have come up. Hope you get it sorted as I know how you feel when the cars playing up.

Dealer phoned with the results of the stored codes. Turbo boost pressure sensor gone. Ordered a new one and car will be ready on Monday again. Over the last 2 monts the dealer has had the car longer than me!!!

I've read the other threads about willc01's car, terrible - I've never heard anyone else have such bad luck with a new car. Last thread I read, I think your repairs were up over ten grand, is that right, and still rising
Hopefully it gets fixed properly soon, so you can move this lemon on as a going concern - for sure I'd ask about getting a decent replacement from vauxhall, because this is totally unacceptable.
