Help.....my 1.8 has become a slug !!!!!

Hi Guys,

I hope you can help me - I have a 1.8 Club Veccy C on a 53 plate and over the last week it has become a dog !

It pulls away slowly and has lost all of its poke. It shudders like its misfiring as the revs pick up and I struggle to catch up with Grannies !!

I have changed the plugs today which was a chore in itself with the specialised bolts, I thought it may be a plug problem but it turned out to be not the problem at all.

I'm getting really hacked off with it now and want my Veccy back to normal.

Please can anyone help me??

Dis pack playing up by the sounds of it. Take it to a local proper mechanic to check this.

ok, searched and found out it's the coil pack - not cheap but contacted LMF for a quote - thanks for your help

if it's a shuddering misfire, then i'd vote DIS pack as well..

Thanks guys - looked for a coil pack and it's 152 bucks from Vx or about 63 on fleabay. Phoned LMF but they were shut this afternoon.

Any opinion on which one to get - is there a difference if you don't get OEM

What do LMF sell and any ideas how much they charge - they seem to get some good rep on this forum?
