Question for those with Climate control

Hi

Just a quick question for those with climate control in their cars:

How often do you change the following settings on your climate?

Temperature
Air distribution

Or do you just key in your preferred temp and leave it as it is?

in summer its at 16c set to all vents

in winter its at 22c all vents

I change mine as when the tempertrure dictates but generally 21c

i leave the distribution on auto, except if i need the power boost to the windscreen to demist..

the cabin temp is always being fiddled with in our car and is always set slightly hotter on her side..( split climate)

Always on 21 my side, except on a long run, when it seems to get progressively cooler, especially in the winter. Also in the winter, the "demist" button gets used a lot, but otherwise left on "Auto".
On her side, God knows. It could be 26 if she's feeling cold, or 18 if she's having a hot flush!

As a generall rule I usually leave it fixed on 20. If I'm already shivering when I get in the car, I'll set it on "Hot". Conversely if I start off hot I'll set it on "Cold".

I never touch the air distribution (apart from demisting as Gsi3.2 mentioned), mainly because it's just too ****** complicated to do.

Mines normally set on about 18 or 19. Air direction either auto or screen and vents if I have the air con off.

Set to 20 on my side normally, sometimes on 19. Other side will be set a couple of degrees higher if Mrs Duncan is in the car, otherwise set the same as my side.

Distribution always set on auto apart from power demisting, but all that involves is pushing one button and it automatically whacks all the air up to the screen. I never go into the air distribution menu and change anything manually.

I'll occasionally tweak the fan speed from auto to either blow a bit faster or slower depending on the circumstances.

That's about it. Plenty of hot air from the passenger side without the climate control so I usually set my side to cooler

Never touch it otherwise - it does it's job adequately well (though it was much better CC in the beemer) and that's why I chose a car with CC in the first place

Distribution on mine is always set at Auto, temp on my side is normally set at 22, but on her side it goes up and down like a yoyo.
