    Default Alloys

I just bought a set of 18" Wolfrace Ikon this afternoon, need to get a few bits fixed and some new tyres before I can put them on, but like most Vecs i've got a 16" 'space saver' spare wheel, do I need to get an 18" spare wheel or am i still able to use the 'space saver'?

The guy i bought them off also said they need 'spacers' put on the hubs then they will fit right on.

Think i jumped in a bit but what the hell are spacers??

you can still use the spacesaver, but the ride will be very poor..try getting a 16" steel wheel and using that instead..pick one up from the breakers for a tenner..

After our 'spacesaver' experiences last year on our way to Neil Dti's Regal meet..never again...

    yep..Ideal.....

just take the plastic ring out from under the spacesaver and it'll even store in your boot floor wheel well.....

The spacers are to correct the offset so they don't rub etc. They go between the hub and the wheel
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Are they cheap to buy, safe to use, easy to fit, etc etc?

i wonder if he means spigot rings to take up the difference in wheel and hub bores......if i remember correctly, SteveO had this very same problem on his wheels and the spigot rings fixed his location problems.. if it's spigot rings then they are fine to use....spacers mean longer wheel bolts needed.. check that you are getting wheels with an offset ( an ET) of between 35 and 42 and it should fit perfectly without needing spacers

yep they are most wheel dealers will stock them, They are not as good as having wheels with the correct off set to start with but many people use them. You may also need longer wheel bolts, but again the Wheel dealer can help there. Sorry but I have no idea what offset the veccy is

    Damn it, beaten again!

I've already got the wheels and had a look on the net last night. Think the offset is 45?
