Hi i have taken off the globe box and found this plug next to the light.

    looks a bit like it.
I'd suspect that it's been used before, too, judging by the cable tie on it.

The plug you have marked is the telephone prewire. Search these forums and you will find full pinout diagrams to show you where to wire in your phone.

Denis the menace posted stuff re this previously and should be easily found.

I wasn,t so lucky and didn't have the prewire.

99.9 percent sure. Search these threads for telephone etc and you should find the wiring arangement. If you are handy with basic electrics you may not even need to buy a lead

korlinski - do a bit of a search, there's loads of info regarding this plug in numerous threads.

As BJR said, DTM has posted up about this before so a bit of searching will find it for you - save repeating it all again in yet another thread.

    Any ideas people?

    Hi mate,

I have checked with my Technical Director and that doesn’t look like a VDA plug for the phone kit as it should have a locking clip which swings around to lock the plug together. (Like a quadlock stereo connection). One of our Auditors was here also and he says if you have one it would most likely be cable tied behind the kick panel. They say it was very random if it would have one or not though L

Does anyone have a pic of there VDA plug to compare to my pics above?

The suppliers are not sure that my plug is the VDA plug and I could do with a comparison.

That does look like the VDA plugs insides only it has just been butchered and removed from its casing with the locking latch.

Shocked at Chameleons auditor saying it would be cable tied back, who said that???
