Default Anyone fitted Meta Targa SR2 Number Plate Parking Sensors

I have bought the Meta Targa SR2 Number Plate Parking Sensors:
    http://www.grasmerevauxhall.co.uk/ac...g_Sensors.html

And I am trying to work out where I can route the wires.

I have an estate and I was hoping to push it through the rubber grommet/tube at the top where the hinges are.

But I don't want to drill any holes in the metal tailgate, so all I can think of is passing the wires underneath one of the rear number plate lights and just put up with being able to see the cable between the number plate and the light.

The instructions show drilling a hole in the bodywork: http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/ala...2-fitting.html

I thought this would be an easy parking sensor fix, but most of the trim on the back of the car needs to come off to route the cable.

Also I think I'm going to need one of these Reverse/Parking Relay things...

    Anyone have any commets??

I got one and did not drill a HOLE, I went thru the rubber grommet behind the bumper, u dont really need to take the bumper off as I didnt! simply take out the floor carpet and the plastic bit that you can clip the restraint onto, basically remove all the carpeted bits in the boot on the left side and you get a clear picture of what to do. also to wire it in, tap it into the reverse light, thats what I did. works great! think its the 2nd wire, BLACK ONE with a strip of white on it. i took me an hour, but i was trying to faff around takin the rear bumper off, then realised that I didnt have to.

    Thanks for your reply.

2nd wire, BLACK with white strip. Will look when the rain stops ;-)

It looks like you didn't need any other bits (Relays etc) other than what came with the kit?? Cool...

Unfortunately I have the Estate so the number plate is fixed to the tailgate and not the bumper and I don't have a hole/grommet behind the Number Plate.

hmm... yea, that presents a problem. like you say. it may be better going thru the hinges, what you can do is remove the seal around the boot and feed the wire down there and it will be neat, one other thing is the beeper has to be exposed somewhere or it wont be very loud, i tried hiding mine behind the bit of trim where the first aid kit goes but like i said was very quite, I put mine where the rear quarter light is and is now quite loud, is hard explaining on tex lol
