Cheers matey ... thats good news in a way.

Shortly we will be stocking a range of non irmscher center armrests for most Vauxhall models. These are very high quality, fold, adjust and extend with a inner storage area.

We have been issued with a kit to test RHD compatibility before they are marketed in the UK. Would anyone in the northwest without an armrest already fitted be interested in letting us do a compatibility test on there Veccy to see if these are suitable for the UK?

If there is anyone close ... theres a free armrest in it for you, once we get our first shipping ... if suitable of course

    No probs Dave.

I'm in Mids otherwise I'd have come.

I think most C's came with armrest though.

Mines an Energy, basically they put extras on like Alloys, smoked lights etc, then the crafty bu99ers take stuff off, like Armrest, Steering mounted stereo controls etc.

There must be a few special models around though.

I could be wrong but the standard Armrest was criticised somewhere as well (Auto Express?? Not sure) cos it makes the handbrake a bit tricky to reach.

Does anyone else with these find this?

Thanks ion thats excellent info ... we are willing to travel to the Guinea pig Vec, but odviously the closest get priority.

I think most armrests do restrict the hand brake in some way, being able to fold these back out of the way is an added bonus

    Thanks again!

Not really. I think the problem only arises if you've slid the rest/lid part forward to it's forward position - then it does get in the way of the handbrake. But if you leave it in the 'default' slid back position, it's fine.

I thought someone would have been super quick to snap up this offer - I'm sure someone will very soon!

    'Default' position

    Slid fully forward

    Whole top section raised

Upper compartment lid raised (only possible with rest slid back to default position)
