Spoons and I are with Barry grainger, good in the event of a claim as Spoons found out and ar normally cheaper than AF.

just got a quote of £420 from AF, not much more than Norwich Union without the mod.

Just used AF myself thanks to all the good words on here.

They have given me a premium which is slightly cheaper than my old premium which didn't have any mods declared on it at all.

Also the beauty is you can call them at anytime and add mods to your policy without changing the premium.

    Cheers

I use barry grainger too. Always been really good. The main insurers like N Union or direct line hate mods
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

About 3 years ago I was ringing round for a new quote on a Puma 1.7 with tints & a rear spoiler. I had some companies refuse me cover because of the tints but the spoiler was fine & others refuse cover because of the spoiler but the tints were fine - a real minefield. Since then I've been with AF & although I've paid about £100 extra for the CRD2 the leather & Alpine Stereo were no charge. AF will probably be even better next year as they will look for an underwriter already knowing about the extra BHP
