The 180bhp 1.9 has been rumoured for a while now. Although it will be in the Vectra replacement as a standard engine, I would b suprised if it reaches the Vectra C so late in it's life.

But.....stranger things have happened, you never know, Vauxhall may introduce a limited edition 180PS CDTi in the Vectra C as a final run.

But I won't hold my breath.

I can't wait for a driver in one of these to pull up behind a Vectra / Signum 1.9 CDTi (tuning boxed) and give it the usual Saab flash (get out of my way) and then struggle to keep up with the CDTi. Infact I hope it's me!

A boxed Vectra or Signum won't keep up with one of these, the way the power and torque is delivered, along with the revised gearing will make it a quicker car by far.

The guys I know at Vauxhall who drive re-mapped 1.9 150's have already said this new engine is a blinder and is in a different league. Just because the figures are similar does'nt tell the whole story.
