I've just bought a 2004 (53 plate) veccy gsi, the xenons are great apart from one is at the collect level and the other pointing 5 foot infront of the car.
Any ideas? I'd rather go to vauxhall and tell them what needs doing

could be the auto-leveller inside the xenon headlight.. they work off of 2 units, one on the rear axle and one on the front.. if one of the two headlights is correct it probably means the motor has packed up on the other one.. I believe the motors are internal on these... failing the motor it could be the xenon ecu (one per side) not telling it what to do...
not any easy way of telling without disconnecting the rear leveller and operating it by hand whilst someone standing at the front listening to see if you can hear the motor trying to work..
Vx can whack the tech2 on and get it to perform a manual check on them but this would cost £40 to do...
3 year warranty i presume.... yes its ran out
Oh well time to book it in at the stealers
Yeah, Tech 2 will probably tell you the answer. As plasma said, if the levelling on one headlamp is OK, the suspension sensors are OK. Are you getting the levelling system warning on the instrument cluster screen?
No warning symbol at all, if i stand infront of it and let the lights shine on my leg, there is a good 2 inches between the lights levels, vaxuhall are having a look tomorrow
It wasn't an easy fix they want me to drop it in for a full day with the spark they said, oh dear lol!
