Default How could I check my cars been serviced

Had my car servced a couple of weeks ago, but I had one of those feelings they had not actually done anything (don't ask why!)

I've now had my Insp warning come up, so possibly they have not reset it, but the feelings are back - did they do nothing.....

What can I check to see if its been serviced??? First idea would be the oil - it should be lighter shouldn't it? Anything else???

    Many thanks!

Check what should have been done first, its listed in the service book. The oil should be a golden colour not black. Air filter and pollen filter may not have needed to be changed so check the service interval then check the filters. Also look to see if the oil filter has been changed or the outer case disturbed as some just change the inner filter ont the entire thing as its not needed on all models, some just have a paper inner.
I can't help with where these tings are as I have no idea on most of them!
    Good luck!
Search for INSP and it will be on here how to reset it your self.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

and paid em nearly £170 ? basically for an oil change

Thats why i use an independent garage - they do everything and charge less.

my oils a nice golden colour!

I've just has it back to the dealer and he's reset the INSP bit (I know I could have done it myself...)

He also gave me my paperwork (ie work sheet etc) which was missing last time, possibly making me think they'd done nowt!

By the way I was quite impress with the cost (again adding up to the too good to be true - maybee they have done nothing).

There are 3 Perrys dealers near me, 2 of them charging £200 for the 1st service, and one £145......
