Yes very sad indeed. It's a bloo*y tough job and most of the time their hands are tied with red tape and politics. It's certainly not a job I could do.

I feel for his family and friends.

It's not the cops I have a problem with... it's the law, most of the time I think the laws in this country are too tight...

But when someone is breaking them and these guys go out and do their job and get killed as a result what happens?

The 'criminal' gets a few years in a jail with more facilities than my home... it's just wrong and it's the families left behind I really feel for.

Just back from a walk into town to get my lunch, and there's a very odd atmosphere around there. Especially around the war memorial where the flowers are stacked.....

That's how I see it to mate, during my recent accident they were excellent, on scene asap which was like 30 seconds, followed up to check my condition, didn't hassle me at all for anything, just like the lads in the army it's a waste of someone who was prepared to stand up and try to keep the innocent safe, my condolences to the officers family,friends and collegues.


Sadly this will get worse because Whitehall as usual will not address the problem.
