if the original wheel has buttons instead of scroll wheels then the answer is a no, not under any circumstances....
the 6 button wheled cars are 1/2 canbus.. the scroll wheeled cars are full canbus.. totally different wiring throughout the car....
if by some fluke you have a very early 54 plate full canbus car with existing scroll wheels then you will need a new airbag as well as the changed the shape of that too..
Wheels still look great BTW.....
thanks m8 can i change them over (the buttons etc) just a thought
the steering wheel off the facelift will fit your pre-facelift but its the
airbag thats normally the problem as its a different shape on the
facelift than it is on the pre facelift, unless you have both the wheel and
airbag off the facelift then you wont have a problem.
Nope, the connectors on the car are totally different and the controls are a different size. I looked into this when I was contemplating putting a facelift wheel on my pre-facelift - the controls are what scuppered it.

I'm sure someone has done this very thing on here peeps.
You sure? Fitted the half-canbus controls (six buttons) onto a facelift wheel into a half-canbus car you mean? I can't see how given what I found when I looked at doing it. The connectors in the car are totally different and the six button controls won't physically fit onto a facelift wheel.
if they have, hats off to them as they would had to mess around with the CanBus wiring and changed connectors.
I'll see if I can find the thread.
Found the thread. After reading the thread again, he didn't bother trying to make the buttons work, he just wanted the smaller steering wheel.
