Been doing a bit of reading on DW and most of the guys say "yes the Megs WB is great stuff but a little harsh". I have seen the Autobrite stuff and its a none acid based cleaner, so this looks good to me for weekly use. Started a thread in there about the AB bright wheels but as yet no replies.

i use megs wheel brightener, diluted down i think 4:1 if not more. i only use it when the wheels are absolutely caked in brake dust. most of the time a spray of megs APC diluted 4:1 in a garden sprayer prior to washing them with just normal shampoo does the trick nicely.

if you're washing the car every week then wheels aren't such a nightmare.

Wheel brightener is harsh and should only be used, as Harry says, when the wheels are pretty much caked.......after that the Autobrite or any NON acidic wheel cleaner will be perfect then just an application of a wheels sealant or wheel wax from time to time should do the trick
