    cheers lads for all the replys cant belive the mare i had today a mate of mine come over with a weird socket it had half circular patten inside worked like a dream will ask him what it is when i see him next and update the thread so other peeps know


    one good thing is the rhino ramps i got last week off ebay wow they are wicked bit of kit well worth the money so if anyone is thinking of getting some do so

    You can get those spanners that tighten as you turn. Sometimes lucky.

    Or try to flatten to sides til you can get a spanner on it.

    They grip the walls of the bolt not the corners like conventional sockets.

    nope, these are like the 'rippers' that i use to remove wheelbolts...

    they have a reverse 'bite' on 6 helical blade flutes that grip the remains of the bolt and the more torque applied, the harder they bite....

    got a full set myself..

    They look like a handy bit of kit. Probably to expensive for a 14 & 8 year old to get me for fathers day lol.
