    Default Generations Changing Hands

Just like irl this site also has it's generations, when I 1st signed up and for quite a while after I was here almost everyday, the names were different and in the time I've seen some go and others visit less frequently, but in their place along came new names, and slowly they established themselves here also maintaining a continuity.

So just as grandad passes, nipper arrives, and likewise here, and long may it continue and the site thrive as an outpost of meeting and help.

I don't think I'm going to be posting as much in future, I won't be leaving, but I feel old on the site now and a little piece is missing from my membership in the way of no Vectra, but the feeling I get now and it's a satisfying one as well is to in a way watch the Learners arrive and evolve, almost like a soap cast producing new families in a way.

For new and potential new members enjoy the site I know I have and will continue to do so, if you post and it doesn't set the threads on fire, don't worry, ppl will warm to you as they get more familiar with you, don't sit outside feeling your not family, because in a short while you will be.

And after all that, where's me beer gone?

hear hear v v i've only been on here a few months now but have felt very welcomed from the start there seems agreat number of regulars on here to ask for help or information or even to just have a rant when somthing gets you down, it allways makes me feel better to know there are people out there (who you may or may not meet) that can help or just be there as a shoulder to lean on.

A BIG UP TO ALL HERE ON VECTRA-C .COM

VV, I know what you're saying dude, I joined just a few months before you and i've whitnessed the site, the cars and the members evolve along with you.

There's no need for you to post any less than you have done, simply because you no longer own a vectra, look at me, 6 months down the line and i'm still spamming with the best of them. I also continue to go to meets and shows, because I still love the cars and want to get back in one when funds permit, but most importantly, I have made loads of great friends here and I couldn't be going for long periods without catching up here or at meets.

So, stick around mate, apart from just being you, you also have a few years of ownership and can offer answers to a few questions about the Vecs.

I'm old skool, I get lots of ppl remark on it as well...nice to have a cabbie that chats, I feel it's part of the job, if I went in the bank and the cashier ignored me I'd feel well miffed, ok it gets a bit tiring having the same old chat all those times a night, but that's how it is.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooo,

Don't go, i look forward to hearing you rant, or pose life questioning theories.
Who gives a monkeys if you don't have a vectra, if you stay, you can always borrow mine!!!

Like you say, it's a family, once your in, you can't get out. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Into every life a little rain must fall, we'll be your umbrella!

The rants seem to have gone since my crash tbh, I feel kinda resigned that it isn't worth ranting anymore because life is renewable source, so as soon as you educate one lot, along comes a new batch needing the education and so on, wouldn't be so bad if everyone did some teaching, but ppl just say oh well or laugh, we're all guilty of it to some degree tbh, I just want to enjoy my family more and live in peace now, I think it's the Paramedics and Doctors fault, when they were attending me I had this feeling of look at these ppl they actually G.A.F *thats an expletive line btw* all working to help me and others during our time of need, I saw an old fella in the bed next to me, mind almost gone, couldn't walk properly etc, and across from me an idiot who'd got too drunk that night, once awake he marched out stating to the orderly "I'm all right I just got drunk" in a dismissive tone, he'd looked at me earlier in a sheepish manner when I said hello to him, this all led me to feel for the old man and his condition, and to think of the drunk guy in the light of a piece of litter that had escaped the bin in the wind, realising I was neither of these ppl made me feel relieved I wasn't the old fella and glad I wasn't the drunk.

But don't worry Stu, I like the family feel of the site, met Mark a few weeks back, and ppl like that you don't want to lose touch of just because you don't have the car anymore, I'll try a little rant here and there for ya mate
