    Default removing ccr2006

    Gonna fit a new HU over the weekend, just wondering if i need to get the existing HU tech2 before i take it out, incase i want to replace it at a later date?

    Ive got a 52 reg vectra c.

    yeah 3 buttons on each side, will these work with the new hu? and am i right in thinking i will only loose the radio details on the display?

    The buttons will only work with an adapter and yes you will only loose the radio display but I'm sure you can get an adapter for that as well.

    any ideas what adapter i need, and best place to get one? would halfrauds do them?

    all depends on the make of the stereo you brought, just put a kenwood in mine with an adapter and all the steering buttons work fine. Some stereo's will give you a display some wont.

    Put an Alpine in mine got the Alpine adaptor leads but I can not get it to talk to the HUI display. Gave up in the end. You also loose the auto time update which comes from the RDS signal on the original factory fit head unit. However the increase in quality far outweighs that little trick.
