    Default Tyres

Just a quick one on tyres. It will either be 18" or 19" can anyone suggest a resonable priced make of tyre? Has good life time and noise reduction?

if you're thinking 18", then i'd say goodyear eagle f1's or the new hydragrip.. both are extremely good tyres.....got a pair of 225/45 ZR 18's for £190..

I'm now on conti sport contact 2's and the eagles are far better....

So without the Eagles, you're taking it easy?

I have the Eagles, so it's life in the fast lane.

One for the older members there....

Btw, I think the Eagle F1's are the best tyres around at the moment. Now I need to get four for a certain Punto!!

The F1's are great tyres but they're fairly soft so don't expect great mileage from the fronts

I've just put a set of Eagle F1 GSD3's on.

They are the ones made in China, the best ones to have come from Germany and according to a post on Pistonheads, there are some dodgy imports from the US and Thailand, neither of which are suitable for UK use as they are not E marked and haven't been tested for UK/European use.

They do, however, stick like **** to a blanket

I only have a set of 16" club/sxi wheels but a set of four delivered inclusive of vat was £230.

I'll take issue with the wear comment!!

20000 miles and still had 3-4 mm before the wear indicators. Only replaced due to a kamikaze nail!!

    They have been rotated though.
