fully synth oil and filter is ~ £75 at the stealers ...

rest of it, you can do yourself, and if you cant, well just ask, plenty of peeps on here can tell ya how

do they use the correct oil, or just a few litres of whatever they have a drum of at the time ? ( they state BP.. )

As you're out of warranty, if you fancy a go at changing your own oil, then we'll guide you through it step by step.....

For £99 I'd want more than just an oil & filter change. I would imagine one decent mechanic could do that on his own in not much more than 15 mins.

I paid £49 for my first service, and i'll pay £149 for my second.

cheers for the offer of help, but i would prefer to get it done at a garage just so i can keep my service book upto date. Whats the going rate for a service at a vx dealers nowadays? Been driving a company car for the past 5 yrs so had no need to pay for services up till now.

it was last serviced at 52000 miles, next one will be at 72000. Is that all that is replaced (oil and filter)? or would the vx dealers change fuel filter etc? Got k&n filter so that wont need changing.

it would amount to very little more, oh, and it would be far more than £120 if it's a 'service' you have , rather than an 'oil service'..there is very little they change regularly on service, most of it is on intervals of years..there isn't much else yours would get at that interval
