    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

    Default Deadlocking

Don't know why, but my front doors seem not to deadlock anymore. The rears certainly do, and the second 'clunk' can be heard from them, but not from the front doors.

Can anyone shed any light on this ???

    Cheers !

I don't think half a system can work. The best way to try it, is to sit in the car, press the remote once and then try to lift the buttons, which of course should come up.

Then whilst sitting in it, press twice to dead lock and see if the buttons come up, it is a 100% accurate way to see if the deadlocking is working.

    Hope this helps!

door lock actuators not throwing out far enough??.., or internal lock issues preventing the master acutator from extending far enough...??

I think that 5 mins with the doorcard off will reveal the cause of your problems..

    Don't understand this.

Mark, agree with you BUT I was trying to diagnose the problem without having to take the door cards off, as the fronts make no noise at all - as if they're not even trying to DL.
