Got my car back!!!

Well what can I say!!!

I picked up the car yesterday evening after having the gearbox replaced.

Very Very impressed with the my dealer. They put in a new F40 box, new slave cylinder and full clutch assembly.

Not only that, but the car was washed, polished and fully valeted. Could not ask for more.

She drives so much better, just like when it was new, just show's how bad the old box had become.

They have another 2 F40's to replace!!!

I may keep it now for another year. If someone offers me decent money for it then I'll sell it, but as the box and clutch is done I think I'll keep it.

I was just thinking about getting the bonnet re-painted, but today while at a customers, the security camera engineer dropped is hammer from a cherry picker which landed on my bonnet.

I acted really gutted in front of him, but his company ADT are going to pay for the bonnet to be re-painted.

What a result. All the more reason to keep it now!!!

Sounds like the kind of service you want if something goes wrong !!

Anyone who have more info on the F40 ??
Seems to be a weak link ....
Who makes it ?? Gm, Opel/Vx, Saab ??

Okey ... thought that could be the answer, but wasnt sure.
Their boxes have a bad reputation ... so its no surpise.

The Calibra/Vectra V6 used a Saab-box and that was also a
