Since I've modified our vectra and created the VXRD I now get quite a number of people stopping me to talk about the car.. especially in garage forcourts and car parks etc..

It happened again last night whilst filling up and the guys were happily chatting for 5-10 mins about it....

I've never had this with any other car before, and I find myself repeating the same story about the VXRD, the links with 888 Engineering, Nurburgring etc etc...

Has anyone else been stopped and quizzed on thier car... or had other nice comments made to you.

How does it make you feel, when people show an interest

dont mean to sound big headed, but yea.
as with you get it at petrol stations when car goes in for service etc.

Yes Steve I have, although mine is quite standard, I quite often have drivers delivering to our estate peering in the windows & when I ask them what they want we end up chatting about the car & what is does etc!

I had quite a nice comment the other day from someone who'd come in to do a repair on one of our lorries.

I had the wheel off looking for that graunch, he was stood behind me and my mate saying how smart he thought the car looked.

For a standard car, I must admit, I was very proud for a good while after!

One of my Drivers attendants always says he really likes it, best car in the car park!

So it must be doing something right!!!

Wait till I get my 3.0!!!

Not yet and getting pee'd off!
3.0 V6 resprayed front grille to make it a bit different, debadged rear griffin, fitted spoons fins, think it looks the muts but not had anyone tell me.
And I haven't pointed any mods out to anyone was hoping people would notice.
Think I need a big garish mod to get people talking about my car

Yeah I get it all the time, just the look of the car plus the Holden badges, which fool most people, lol.

It happened this morning for the first time...A Manchester taxi driver was along side me in stationary traffic on the M56...He put his window down so I obliged. Pointed him here cause he wanted part numbers etc. Got a big smile on me face now!

i get it quite a bit.
i went to fill up once and the guy behind the counter asked what it was (cus theres no badges on it). he thought it was a lexus!!.

i always get people askin
"is that the 3.0l?" , "no, its just the 1.8" , "really? looks really nice"
