    Question Parking Ticket Question

Hey guys just a quick one for those in the know.

I parked outside my office yesterday on double yellows with hazards on as i was just dropping loads of papar work off and picking some up. i was in the office for 5 minutes and came back out to find a guy with a scooter and a bright green jacket stood at the front of my car with a little machine in his hand. i just got back in my car and drove off assuming id got a ticket.

But heres my question, do they actualy have to place the ticket on the car or give it to you for it to be valid, or will i have been lucky because i came back and drove off?

at the end of the day its only £30 but its better in my pocket than the goverments!

    Thanks
    Matt

According to a TV programe this week. To issue you with a ticket they have to physically give it to you are stick it to the car.

However, Traffic Wardens will still put on their paperwork that they have given it to you and you would still get a final reminder.

Watch your post box for this. If you get one ring them and complain.

Yeah I saw that program. Confessions of a traffi warden wasn't it. Would be worth catching a repeat if you can
They have to either personally hand it to you so you've "accepted" it or stick it to the windscreen & take photographic evidence but as said they'll still stick it through the books claiming you accepted it personally but just throw your copy in the bin.

Nope. Sky+ only gives you live pause, rewind and record etc. It's just a hard disc recorder inside a sky box.

Sorry, but one of my pet hates is people who think putting your hazards on makes your car invisible, like some cloaking devise from star trek.

If you don't want a ticket don't park on double yellows, even if it is only for 5 mins.

    Rant over

So we should park a 15 minute walk from our office then and carry heavy boxes for several hours instead?

    Get real!
