Arn't these engines so de-tunned anyway, that they only pump out half of what they are capable of !

    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Trim : very

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

Bit more than half... The 1.9 16v kicks 148bhp as standard and is capable of 213bhp at most so far (without changing the turbo).

That's an increase of 44% over the stock figure but most are slightly higher than 148 as stock (mine wasn't though...)

Yes it is true, having experienced all 3 :-

    1.9 150 with tuning box
    1.9 with re-map
    standard 3.0

The 1.9 with a re-map is the most aggressive out of the three. One of the reasons I got rid of mine, was as it had no TC, with the re-map and wet weather it would break traction too quickly.

This was not good for towing.

    Interesting read that Matt..

I think the two engines are very capable and depends what you fancy at the time of purchasing...

A good balanced write up Matt.

As has been said they are both superb engines, which you choose is down to your cicumstances & preference.

As per Harry as well, with a remap the 3.0 would be a different story I think.
