    Default Cheap head unit

just after some advice really. Im after a cheap head unit but my budget is a bit tight. Only got about £70-£80 to spend. has to have a front aux input and possibly a SD card/USB interface but not too important. Has anyone got any suggestions??

yeah i bought this unit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JVC-KD-G431-CA...QQcmdZViewItem
It came the day after ordering it. I'm totally impressed with it. Its really easy to use and the sound reproduction is pretty good. 10x better than the standard head unit.I was gonna upgrade my front speakers before i got this unit but dont need to now. The same headunit is twice the price in halfauds!!
Took me all of 10 mins to fit it. But needed to get this adapter for the arial http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...ce=14&doy=17m6.

I was looking at these when i bought my head unit, but decided to go for a well known brand as i have heard reports of these cheaper units becoming faulty especially the ones with usb/sd card input. Dont know how true it is. But also thought i would get a slighty better sound reproduction from a known branded unit.

Aldi had a CD/MP3 stereo for £39.99 this week. Had SD slot, USB socket and Aux in, was in store from Thursday, so they should have some left.

    thats a mad price lol...

so a dash insert / adaptor, aerial adaptor from Vx and .....how is it all wired up at the rear of the stereo ( im assuming the vx unit has plugs )

does a replacement headunit need a permanent live / and does it affect the mfd apart from not displaying track number ?

    tia
