    Default Shades of climate change!

Just witnessed a new phenomenon to me. Sitting here at the computer watching the rain tipping down and noted that the streetlights had come on at about 1830. It has rained all day, but like it does in the tropics for at least an hour, and the streetlights have since gone off as the light improved! I can't say I have seen that before - our weather is becoming increasingly odd. People in Elgin are probably sand bagging right now - folk in the Maldives are probably blowing up rubber rings right enough!

Glad I wasn't driving anywhere today.

We've had loads of rain up here (I live in Nairn) over the past few days but tides are fairly okay so rivers shouldn't really be making carpets wet just yet!

Getting a remap in Nairn on Tuesday night and off all week on leave - if you have any spare time before or after give me a shout and drop in for a cuppa. More than welcome - particularly Wedn as the wife works and she won't take the pi55 about talking cars!!

I love the type of rain you describe, stand out in it in a pair of shorts next time and feel it's power and energy, nothing quite like it.

Aye I know what it was, I've got ma higher geography too - just never seen lights go on and then off like that! Maybe today has just been slow and thoughtful for me, noticing details that obviously happen regularly and I am oblivious to....... I thought streetlights were on timers and not photocell, but there you go - I learn again.
