Default Good Lord, the Yank is back :D

Sorry chaps, but I had some hard drive problems and I had to convince the Mrs. that replacing the hard drives (yes, I run multiple in RAID) would not cut it. I was allowed to build a new machine, that's why I was gone for so long.

Now, I know a few of you were asking about pictures, so I uploaded a couple to the web. I am not quite done yet, but this should hold you guys over for a bit.

Oh, and so you know, in that first picture, that's the trophy for the Aura winning the North American Car of the Year. Back in January, Saturn ran a commercial on television stating they were going to share the award with people that bought their car prior to them winning the award. Long story short, I was one of them and it came very tightly packed in a nice Tiffany box. And that thing was very heavy. Too bad I could only have it for a day (actually, I conveniently missed the pickup and had it for two ).

If you were running 0 or 0+1 then you shouldn't have had a problem unless they they fell over simultaneously... Which would have to be down to an external influence or power spike. But enough of that.

Looks nice but a bit high, are the roads very bad over there or could you drop it down?

Damn nice looking car, but I'm getting a big hint of Dodge Neon around the back there.

The shark fin should be on the back, not the front. Silly yanks.

The shark fin being in the front is one of my biggest qualms with the car, it definitely should be in the back (like it is on the MY08 Chevrolet Malibu). My understanding is that the Aura came with a optional panaromaic sunroof that opened practically the entire length and would interfere with the aerial when open if it was located in the back. That particular sunroof is no longer an option because of leakage/wind noise issues (it was 4 or 5 panes of glass butting up against each other).

I am not sure what you are looking at but I don't see that at all (unless the Neons are different in England)

RAID 0 = not fault tolerance at all ie lose 1 disk then all your data is lost, RAID 1+0 or 5 protect against single disk failure.

Nice looking motor wish they did a 3.6 over here!

    Sorry,

0 = multiple drives linked as one
1 = drives mirrored for protection
    0+1 = both
