Default Advice needed on 19" snow flakes !

Hi all, could all you guys with 19" snow flakes give me some
reassuring advice please ! ! i'm looking at a estate with the xp,
but i carn't help thinking that the wheels will be too big, give
poor quality ride and cost me a load of notes to replace the rubber'
    my questions are :
What is the ride quality like,
How many miles out of a front set,
    Cost per tyre, ( 1.9 cdti 150 engine )
Do the wheels get targeted by thieves !
    Any advise would be appreciated
    cheers
    Kcs

Never had any issue with the ride on mine. Nobody ever tried to nick them, but there's no denying a decent tyre is fairly pricey. The Continentals on the front of mine lasted 26000m though. But it's worth it because they look great.

My tyres cost £80 a corner, ride wise I found no difference between my 17's and my 19's apart from it handled better. I've put 2 sets of locking nuts on mine but no one has tried to touch them.

I had these on my SRi hatch 1.9 CDTi 150, did 30,000 miles a year. Perfectly OK, I think the facelift cars from 2005> handle the 19's better.

Mileage : I got 24000 out of a front set even with the car re-mapped
    Tyre Cost : I paid £491 for 4 x Dunlop SP9000's, Toyo Proxy T1-R's are cheaper
Ride :- Not an issue, hardly any difference over 17's

If you have locking wheel bolts you will be fine.

As the estate has the longer wheel base like the Signum, the ride is even better than the hatch. I have them on my 3.0 CDTi Signum and have done 12,000 miles and have no complaints.

onyl thing I have ever noticed is that there is more road noise from the 19s, nothing a touch of sound deadening cant sort.

I would always get them though, as not only do they look better, but they are VERY desirable come resale
