    Default Model Helicopters

Does anyone on here fly model helicopters.

I have been given a little indoor/outdorr electric one similar to the Hummingbird or the Picolo I think but I am having so much trouble getting it off the ground.

Can anyone offer an idiots guide to flying them, or even lives close to me and can show me how to fly it, or at least check it will fly !!!!!

    Cheers

Are you having probs getting it off the ground due to it shooting off in the wrong direction as soon as it leaves the ground?

Also does it have one set of rotas or 2 in oposite directions?

Yep, no matter what I do with the trims it just doesn't take off straight. The instructions say I should be able to get it to 10cm off the ground and hover before trying to move.

It just shakes a lot then part lifts and tips over,

It has 1 rotor at the back and one on the top. The one on the top is split in two. See here it is similar to this one

Yes it is electri ,7 - 10 mins on one charge which is more than long enough,I have three sets of batteries plus a charger that I can run of the car battery.
It has an audible warning system that tells me when the battery drops.
Big boys toys or "a waste of time" as my wife says.
