Default VECTRA Only 3 Stamps of history

    Hi,

I bought a 2003 '03 plate Vectra 2.0 DTI Elegance with 108,000 miles from the auction today, going to collect tomorrow. The car was from Lex Leasing.

I realised after buying it, that it said the car only had 3 stamps in service history upto 100K miles.

I have been told by somebody that the leng of time between each service has changed, could this be why it has only 3 stamps in the book?

Wouldn't worry, it's way out of warranty, and when you finish with it it'll be worth nowt anyway.

Just put some black gold in every 10k and she'll double the mileage at least.

Leasing companys are normally top with servicing so I wouldn't worry too much.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Yes I agree it 100k is no problem on a diesel. Just normally buy cars with FSH but didnt realise on this one.

I read somewhere that servicing is now every 30k miles or every year, this car is 2003 could this be why there is only 3 stamps in the book? or should it have been more stamps for 108k miles?

I think the service intervals are 20K if you are using a quality oil.

Servicing I think every 10k or 20k depending on the oil type. Mineral/Fully Synt etc.

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

Interval on diesels was 30K or 2 years. It's in the handbook. Hence 3 services based on mileage = 90K.

With the keys out of the ignition, press the mileage trip button. The display will show mileage to the next service.

Thanks will check when I pick it up.

So 3 stamps in the book could be correct then.

VX owned mine prior to me - they didn't bother stamping the book when they serviced it either......but like others have said, it doesn't relly matter..
